We offer numerous proven, high-quality training courses at our Training Centre in Rheden in the Netherlands, or at your facilities.

Programmes are designed in line with each clientís special requirements. We also organise ìopenî courses for individuals once a year, as well as courses abroad in cooperation with our local offices.

TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Our courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical training to ensure maximum value and relevance.

The GE-type heavy-duty gas turbine programme trains operators and maintenance personnel on
this type of gas turbine and its associated systems.

THE PROGRAMME INCLUDES:

  • Gas turbine basics
  • Major components
  • Auxiliary systems
  • Turbine maintenance
  • Turbine operations
  • An introduction to turbine controls.

The Speedtronic Mark IV & Mark V control programme familiarises electrical and instrumental staff with the hardware and software of the control system and enhances their ability to find viable solutions.

THE PROGRAMME INCLUDES:

  • An introduction to Speedtronic controls
  • Panel hardware
  • Operating instructions
  • Introduction to software configurations
  • User manuals, maintenance and application manuals
  • Control systems

TRAINING FACILITIES

Our in-house training facilities include:

  • A control simulation set
  • A vibration demonstration model
  • A boroscope inspection model
  • Practical demonstrations on machine parts
  • Performance calculations

Programmes also include visits to the service repair centre and demonstrations of the THomassen Online Monitoring (THOMS) system. When we conduct training at a clientís location, we combine classroom sessions and visual presentations with practical instruction close to the machinery. This gives trainees ample opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to their own machines.

INSTRUCTORS

Instructors are full-time professionals with long experience of all aspects of turbine operation, maintenance and control technology. They are fluent in numerous languages and use technical interpreters when there are unusual language requirements.
