Ansaldo Thomassen TC7 control system now available with Allen Bradley
For over five years Ansaldo Thomassen offers the TC7 control system based on Siemens technology. In 2011 we also offer the market the TC7 based on Allen Bradley technology. This innovation on the new GE Frame Gas Turbine control system based on Rockwell’s Allen Bradley PLC (ControlLogix family) will be functionally equivalent to the existing TC7 control system (Siemens S7 PLC based). Functions of TC7 are:
• Start / Stop sequencing
• Speed / Load control
• Protection and limiting
• Control of auxiliary systems
A number of protection functions need to be performed according to Safety Integrity Level 3 like over speed or loss of flame. The creation of TC7 on Rockwell technology results in a true independent OSP™ alternative for your total plant.
The TC7 is a non OEM gas turbine controller using non proprietary software. The control system is easy accessible, spare parts prices are low and no expensive training is required for handling the control system. This results in competitive maintenance for gas turbine operation.
