Ansaldo Thomassen and Ansaldo ESG sign LTSA contract in Ghana for two power plants
In April 2011 an LTSA contract was signed for the maintenance of 3 Frame 9E gas turbine/generator sets with Volta River Authority (VRA) in Accra (Ghana). VRA is a public utility and the most important power producer in Ghana.

The signed contract encompasses two plants. One plant, located in Accra, has a single cycle Frame 9E gas turbine/generator set. The other plant is located in Takoradi and concerns a 330 MW combined cycle with 2 Frame 9E gas turbine/generator sets, including HRSG and Steam Turbine.
The Long Term Service Agreement for a 7 year period signed by Ansaldo Thomassen includes all inspections on the three Frame 9E gas turbines and generators as well as the supply of consumable parts and repairs of the capital parts. The inspections of the generators and steam turbine will be executed by Ansaldo ESG.
The two service contracts fit within the OSP™ (Original Service Provider) proposition. The one-stop shop combination of ATH and AESG was an important reason for the client to award the contract.
